Wellness Wednesday: The 4 Best Tips I Received While Working With A Nutritionist

If you’re trying to get on track and live a more balanced lifestyle, then you know that what you eat is just as important as exercising. That’s why working with a nutritionist has become such a popular option. There’s nothing wrong with admitting you need a little help.

Don’t have cash to spend on a nutritionist at the moment? Lucky for you, I worked with a nutritionist and I’m here to share four of the best tips I received that you can incorporate into your routine ASAP.

1. Eat a protein-filled breakfast. We all know that breakfast is the most important meal of the day, but making sure it is packed with protein is just as important. Not only will this get your metabolism started, but it will also keep you full until lunch to avoid snacking. A veggie omelet or plain greek yogurt with almonds and berries are great and easy options.

2. Eat before working out. I used to think that working out with a full stomach would make it harder, but it actually helps with endurance and keeping you from feeling tired so quickly. Try some hummus with a raw veggies before your next workout to see the difference.

3. Take a daily probiotic and fish oil pill. I know some people think that supplements are a scam, but probiotics and Omega fish oil pills are nutritionist recommended, especially if you don’t eat much seafood.

4. Keep a food log. No, this doesn’t mean to count every single calorie that you eat. This is simply to help you stay mindful and accountable. Looking back at when and what you ate can really help you make adjustments where needed.
