Who better to perform at the Grammys than the King and Queen of Hip-Pop? Yeah, we can’t think of anyone, and apparently, neither could the folks in charge of the yearly music award show, according to Us Weekly. The mag confirmed this weekend that Beyoncé and Jay Z have been tapped to perform at the Grammys, this Sunday, January 26th. Oh, and the husband-wife duo will be taking the stage together.
Now we know that the Grammys have booked these two for what will be a ***FLAWLESS performance, the next logical step is to speculate which songs they may perform. “Drunk in Love” is an obvious shoo-in, as it is the debut single off Beyoncé’s latest self-titled effort. Something tells us that with so many hit duets between them, we might be looking at a medley. We wager they’ll add renditions of “Crazy in Love,” “Déja Vu,” and “Upgrade U” to the mix. Maybe a little “03 Bonnie and Clyde?”
Whatever they choose, this is poised to be an amazing set. Beyoncé is arguably the greatest entertainer in music right now, and her stage show is always riveting. Jigga’s just the icing on the cake. We’ll definitely be tuning in to see what Blue Ivy Carter’s parents will do!
