Let’s be real for a second. Owning a $200 swimsuit is nice, but what happens when it gets ruined? Between chlorine, pool chemicals, salt water, and the laundry, your swimwear takes some wear and tear during the summer months, not to mention the dreaded pool edge. Sit on on the side of the pool and you can kiss your bikini botttom good-bye. It’ll be pilled to the point of no return. And what about pool parties? What if you spill your cocktail all over your expensive suit? Instead of crying and dramatically complaining to everyone that you “just runined your brand new uber expensive bikini,” you can wise up and avoid all these problems by buying a cheap one.

What’s the point of dropping all of your cash on a teeny-tiny piece of fabric that you’re only going to wear for three months of the year? Oh right…there isn’t one. Luckily, there are some popular retailers, like Forever 21, J.Crew Factory, and Topshop, that understand your swimsuit dilemma. The summertime is for letting loose and having fun, so you should definitely save on your swimwear, and put that money towards an exciting trip or beach getaway.

So, if you agree that swimsuit prices are insane, or you’re just on a tight budget and you want to shop for an inexpensive suit, check out the picks in the slideshow. You can get multiple suits for the price of one, and all of them are under $50. One top is even less than $5, so go crazy!
