Bradley Cooper Responds To Hollywood's Gender Wage Gap And Offers A Solution For His Co-Stars
October 16, 2015
Conclusion: Bradley Cooper is one of the best (and best looking!) guys in Hollywood. In response to Jennifer Lawrence‘s essay about Hollywood’s gender wage gap, featured on Lenny Letter, Cooper responded in the best way possible.
According to Reuters, “he has begun teaming up with female co-stars to negotiate salaries before any film he is interested in working on goes into production.” He said, “I don’t know where it’s changing otherwise, but that’s something that I could do.”
Cooper also told Reuters he was shocked to learn what his female co-star, Amy Adams, made for her role in American Hustle, which got her an Oscar nomination. “She worked every day on that movie and got paid nothing. It’s really horrible actually, it’s almost embarrassing,” he said.
Cooper added, “Usually you don’t talk about the financial stuff, you have people. But you know what? It’s time to start doing that.”
Ugh, what a guy.
