In case you missed it, we featured sneak peek photos of butter LONDON’s new cosmetics range last week. Today, our favorite nail polish brand launched their full collection of makeup, which includes cream eyeshadows, colored eyeliners, tinted lip balms and cream blushes. There’s also a polish shade to match every piece in the collection, in the case you’re in the mood for some matchy matchy action. You can shop the butter LONDON Bespoke Color Cosmetics Collection online at Ulta and butterLONDON.com. Our two cents: run straight for the eye pencils–the are comparable to MAKE UP FOR EVER’s famous liners.
We also got ahold of Katie Hughes, butter LONDON‘s Global Colour Ambassador, to dish out some insider info on their gorgeous new makeup line:
SF: What is your favorite butter LONDON shade, and were you able to carry that over to the cosmetics line?
KH: That’s a tough one, I love all of butter LONDON‘s shades. I do favor the sheer colors like the Nail Lacquers in Hen Party, Knackerd and Scouse, as they act as game changers and can create an unusual finish over your chosen block color. This idea is similar to the new Colour Cosmetics Collection as butter LONDON‘s makeup is so customizable and you can layer and mix colors really easily.
SF: Why is it called the “Bespoke” collection?
KH: It’s called the Bespoke Colour Cosmetics Collection because it is completely tailored to please butter LONDON‘s loyal “Bezzie Mates” (Brit slang for best friend). The butter LONDON girl is edgy and classy all at the same time and the collection has such a wide variety of products and colors designed to meet any girl’s needs. It’s truly bespoke because the collection is very easy to build, mix, blend and layer.
SF: Is nail art here to stay? Or on its way out?
KH: Nail art is definitely here to stay, but it might be changing a bit. People are coming up with such creative ways to make nail art their own while still having fun with the trends. A more grown-up look is coming into play. Looks such as half-moon manicures and empty space manicures (nail art over just a base coat) give a mature vibe with twist.
