Is it Navajo? Is it Aztec? Is it Tribal? Doesn’t matter. The only thing you need to know is that geometric, exotic-looking prints in textiles and tapestry wool are here to stay (for another season at least). And we love how designers, like Missoni SS11 (pictured above), have re-imagined this print by using richer, warmer hues, and embroidering designs, instead of just screen-printing them. Editors’ Pick: this amazing pair of embroidered tribal booties: Freebird by Steven Aztec Colorblock Booties ($350).

If you’re a trendy lady, you’ll want to know how to wear this season’s gothic trend, what ‘lip art’ is, and the 5 fashion commandments to live by.
