The Voice just announced Rihanna as their newest key advisor for season nine. Not only is this news super exciting because, uh, it’s Rihanna but this leads us to believe that RiRi may be releasing her highly-anticipated “R8” album sometime soon. Why? When Taylor Swift was announced as a key advisor on The Voice it was right around the time her album “1989” was due out, and it ended up being released during the competition.
Joining Rihanna for season nine will be previous key advisors Gwen Stefani, Adam Levine, Blake Shelton and Pharrell Williams. NBC entertainment chairman Robert Greenblatt said, “We landed Rihanna to be the key advisor to all the coaches this fall. This is one of music’s true supervisors coming on board to influence the lives and careers of the performers.”
According to StyleCaster, other celebrity advisors for season nine include John Fogerty working with Adam Levine’s team, Brad Paisley with Blake Shelton, Selena Gomez on Gwen Stefani’s team and Missy Elliot working with Pharrell.
Even though we’ve already heard three tracks off “R8”, I think it’s safe to say everyone is eager for more! Hopefully, it will be released during season nine of The Voice.
