Statement jewelry trumps the graphic T-shirt, sweatshirt, and sweater thanks to Lanvin‘s Fall/Winter 2013 collection. Alber Elbaz‘s scripted necklaces were an instant hit and they were found on everyone’s necks this season. While we’d love to have our hands on such a coveted necklace, there’s plenty of designers and labels creating their own interpretations – and at much cheaper costs. Can you tell which “Love” necklace is by Lanvin, costing more than $900?
Answer: The necklace on the left is the Lanvin Stephanie Gold-Tone Necklace ($990) and the necklace on the right is the C. Wonder Love Chain Necklace ($48). The Lanvin original is clearly much larger and more of a statement necklace than C. Wonder’s rendition. Sadly, the high-end designer piece is sold out but you can still keep an eye out for it on eBay. Or if you’re looking to spread a different sort of message, Lanvin’s “Help” version is available on their e-commerce site.
