Wellness Wednesday: 4 Recipes That Replace Carbs With Veggies--And Still Taste Great

If you’re in charge of dinner in your home, then you know how hard it can be to come up with recipes that everyone enjoys. Add to that, that you actually want the meals to be nutritious and low in carbs and you’re facing quite the challenge. Believe it or not, though, there are delicious, low carb dishes you can make that your whole family will still love. Really! Here are a few to try this fall:

Stuffed pepper tacos. Instead of using crispy corn shells or flour tortillas (which can contain almost 100g in carbs), put your taco fillings in a hollowed pepper and toss them in the oven. It’s a simple way to keep #TacoTuesday just as yummy!

Spaghetti squash pasta. Whether you’re looking to make a classic marinara and meatball dish or some chicken pesto pasta, swap out the noodles for spaghetti squash. You’ll get the same yummy flavor, plus an added serving of veggies.

Cauliflower pizza. One of the biggest food trends of this year is cauliflower crust pizza. Simply use the vegetable in place of traditional dough to enjoy a classic slice or two with no guilt.

Zucchini lasagna. Looking for the perfect family meal for Sunday dinner? Update this classic recipe by swapping the noodles with zucchini strips. Trust me, it’s a meal the whole family will love.
