When Chanel showed off an updated version of our favorite piece of jewelry from the ’90s during its Spring/Summer 2014 runway show (seen above on Miley Cyrus), we didn’t realize it would set off a number look-alikes. But thankfully, that’s a good thing, because not everyone prefers to wear a pair of oversized pearls on their neck. Usually in slick metals like yellow gold, silver, or rose gold (like Zoe Kravitz‘s choice by Balenciaga), and sometimes embellished at the ends (a la Doutzen Kroes wearing Marc Alary), these open-style necklaces that perfectly lay along your collar are nothing like your tattoo chokers from back in the day. Wear them with a vintage T-shirt and distressed denim or pair it your favorite LBD. Check out our slideshow to see which one you’ll be wearing all season long.
