Clothes That Make You Go Hmm...

I’m obsessed with Crewcuts, J. Crew’s line of kids’ clothing. It’s actually quite tragic because I can’t really afford it until it goes on sale… and then there is an additional 20% off, but I digress.

Yesterday, I was poking around the Crewcuts collection as I often do in my spare time and I stumbled upon these clothes that made me think, “Hmm, what is that?”

They’re not ugly or offensive per se, but they’re just kind of… bizarre. Take a look:

Apparently these taffeta ruffle bloomers ($98) are best paired with tights and shoes. I guess they’re the little girls’ version of cocktail shorts??

Here’s another pair of shorts ($50) that you’re supposed to wear with tights. Except I’m not so sure wool-cashmere bike shorts for girls are all that practical (or appropriate).

This may very well be an example of clothing that looks better on a person than it does photographed flat because from the picture it looks like I hemmed this skirt ($30). And I can’t sew.
