4 Anti-Inflammatory Fat-Burning Crock-Pot Recipes You Should Make This Week

Busy days call for easy meals, which is why most people rely on Crock-Pots and slow cookers to help them get nutritious meals without sacrificing big chunks of time from their evenings.

Want to hop on the Crock-Pot train and start making recipes that will help you stay on track with your weight loss goals? Here are some of our favorite anti-inflammatory and fat-burning meals that you should try this week:

Fat-Free Crockpot Chili 




1 onion, diced
2 garlic cloves, minced
1 green bell pepper, chopped
1 cup fresh or frozen corn kernels
1 zucchini, diced
8 ounces mushrooms, sliced
3 cups diced tomatoes, fresh or packaged in BPA-free cartons
3 cups cooked kidney or pinto beans or 2 15-ounce cans low-sodium or no-salt-added kidney beans
½ cup water
2 tbsp chili powder
2 teaspoons cumin
½ tsp oregano
Dash of cayenne pepper or to taste

Vegetarian Slow Cooker Lentils




1½ cups Green Lentils (rinsed)
4 cups Vegetable Broth
1 Onion (diced)
2 small Sweet Potatoes (cut into large chunks)
4 tablespoons Green Curry Paste 
2 cups fresh Spinach (tightly packed, any leafy green is lovely like swiss chard, or kale)
Salt (to taste)
Optional toppings: Coconut milk and fresh lime juice

Optional side: Brown rice

Slow Cooker Anti-Inflammatory Chicken Cacciatore 


13 oz skinless chicken breast - 4 pieces >21g
16 oz tomato sauce
3 cups mushrooms - 1 8-oz package
2 tsps dried oregano
1 small onion - chopped
1 green bell peppers - chopped
1 red bell peppers - chopped
26 black olives - sliced
3 cloves garlic - crushed
1/4 cup dry red wine
1 tbsp cornstarch
2 (14-oz) bags Birds Eye Pure & Simple – Baby Broccoli Florets – steamed (or 2 lbs fresh)
4 tsps extra virgin olive oil – drizzle
1 apple
