Ariana Grande Breaks Down In Tears In Vogue Video Admitting To ‘Too Much’ Filler And Botox: ‘I Was Hiding’

Ariana Grande was in a sharing mood this week in her Vogue Beauty Secrets video—during which she admitted to having “tons” of cosmetic procedures during her career, including lip fillers and Botox.

The singer, 30, was incredibly candid during her clip, in which she also let in viewers on her skin care routine and how she pulls off a perfect 60s cat eye-style eyeliner look. But it was the admission to the cosmetic alterations that captured the internet’s attention, especially considering it had been speculated for years weather or not Ariana had undergone any procedures.

At around 7 minutes into Ari’s Vogue Beauty Secrets video, the style icon began to divulge more about her relationship with makeup as she went about creating her look. Ariana explained, “I feel like my relationship to beauty has changed so much over the years, especially because I started so young.” The star candidly added, “You know, being exposed to so many voices at a young age, and especially when people have like, things to say about your appearance and stuff at a young age, it’s like, really hard to know what’s worth hearing and not.”

Ariana went on to discuss how the opinions of those around her as she grew up affected how she dealt with her looks. “I, over the years, used makeup as a disguise, or as something to hide behind…Full transparency as a beauty person, [I’ve] had a ton of lip filler over the years, and Botox. I stopped in 2018 ’cause I just felt so…too much. I just felt like [I was] hiding, you know?” After her voice caught, she added with a laugh, “Didn’t expect to get emotional!”
