Ariana Grande Stuns In A Pink Cape Dress
The 32-year-old also debuted a major beauty switch-up for the night, trading her recent blonde hue for a rich brunette shade. She styled her hair in a curly updo with soft baby bangs framing her forehead and ditched her bleached brows in favor of ones that matched her new hair color. She completed the look with delicate diamond drop earrings and her signature doll-like makeup, finished with a soft pink lip.
Fans online approved of her look and were mostly glad she went back to brunette.
“She looks so much better without the bleach blonde hair and eyebrows,” said one fan. Another user wrote, “This is the best she’s looked in a long time. The bleached eyebrows were awful. Such a great look on her.” A third commented, “I know it’s probably a transition shade as she goes dark from bleach blonde hair but this shade of brunette is so stunning on her. It pairs so well with the pink dress.” A fourth noted, “The styling and hair is so soft and pretty!”
Ariana Grande Writes A Heartfelt Letter To The Critics Choice Awards Voters Before The Ceremony
The REM Beauty mogul earned a nomination for Best Supporting Actress for her role as Glinda in Wicked: For Good, a major milestone in the film’s awards-season run and an opportunity to spotlight her upcoming Eternal Sunshine tour. She ultimately lost the category to Amy Madigan.
In the lead-up to the ceremony, Grande penned a heartfelt letter to awards voters, reflecting on what portraying Glinda meant to her and the intense preparation the role required.
A member of the Critics Choice Awards shared the note on X that said how playing Glinda was “the privilege of my life” and “the most demanding role of my career,” explaining that she was drawn to the character because Glinda ultimately asks audiences to look beyond themselves and consider how to become “part of the solution or an ally,” especially during times of division.
Grande also detailed the intense physical and vocal preparation the role required, noting that Glinda demanded “every single tool available in the toolbox.”
Reflecting on the experience, Grande said Glinda “made me laugh, cry, dance, sing, float, smile, and crumble,” adding that she may never again play a character with such depth and complexity. “I’d do it all again tomorrow if I could,” she concluded, calling the role one she will cherish for the rest of her life.
