Revisiting Ariana Grande's Givenchy Golden Globes Gown From Last Year
Naturally, fans are just as excited about her red carpet fashion as her performance. Throughout the Wicked press tour, Grande, who is currently dating Wicked co-star Ethan Slater, has consistently delivered Glinda-inspired style moments, making her Golden Globes look highly anticipated. As we wait to see what she’ll wear this year, it’s worth revisiting the memorable gown she debuted at last year’s ceremony.
At the January 2025 Golden Globes, the 32-year-old dazzled in an archival pastel yellow Givenchy Haute Couture gown from the Spring 1966 collection—never before worn—paired with white opera gloves, Stuart Weitzman heels, and Swarovski jewelry. The ensemble channeled both Audrey Hepburn elegance and the whimsical spirit of Wicked’s Yellow Brick Road.
Grande completed the look with her bleached hair styled in a playful ponytail and soft baby bangs framing her forehead.
It’s difficult to predict what Grande will choose this time, but judging by her past press tour and awards show looks, she and her stylist clearly have a penchant for rare, vintage pieces. We’ll just have to wait and see what she unveils!
Ariana Opens Up About Being Nominated For A Golden Globe
The ceremony will air live on CBS and stream on Paramount+, with comedian Nikki Glaser returning as host for the second year in a row.
Opening up about her second nomination to The Hollywood Reporter, the "Thank U, Next" hitmaker said, “It is definitely just as exciting [as last year’s nomination] and kind of blindsiding. You don’t expect something like this, let alone [for it] to happen twice for the same role. So I’m just deeply honored. I’m just really moved by it.”
She also shared some sweet behind-the-scenes moments from last year's award season: “Something that I was so grateful for last year was that I just felt really present, and I was so excited to meet so many actors that I really respect and whose work that I really love and have such human conversations and positive experiences [with]. I remember meeting Kate Winslet was one of the most exciting things in the world. She was just so kind and warm and just had the most amazing, encouraging words to share. And it’s moments like that that I think people don’t get to know about or see, really, that are so special, that I’ll always cherish and take with me. I hope to see some of the friends that I made.”
Now that her time playing Glinda has come to an end, Ariana opened up about her future plans. “There are a few things floating around in my head, but I would love to do theater as well, and it’s something that I’m excited about.”
The Sam & Cat icon, who will next star in the comedy film Focker In-Law, added, “I think as someone who started on Broadway, I would love to be on stage in that way again and exercise a different muscle and continue to tell stories in different ways. I’m so lucky to be here, and I love acting. It’s really fun.”
