Ask anyone in my office and they’ll tell you I’ve been complaining about my dry, peeling lips for weeks. As a devoted lip balm-applier, I had no idea why my lips were so dry and it was seriously driving me crazy. Then one of my beauty friends suggested something I’d never tried (or even heard of) before: lip oil.
Just as facial oil and body oil deliver seriously hydration to your skin, so does lip oil to your lips. And it turns out, a good lip oil was just what my lips needed.
I actually went a little crazy and decided to try not just one, but a few. These are my three favorites:
These lip oils do what my regular lip balms can't: keep my lips from peeling due to dryness. The sudden drop in temperatures really did a number on my lips and these lip oils are the only thing that keep my pout soft, smooth and moisturized these days.
You can totally wear them solo, or layer them with lip color. I usually do one application of lip oil, a few swipes of cream lipstick and then a swipe or two of the lip oil. That combo keeps me good until lunch and then I reapply after I eat and I'm good for the second half of the day.
If you're expereincing dryness and chapping too, you need to try these lip oils. They're not sticky; they go onto your lips nice and smooth and just keep them hydrated and moisturized for hours.
