The source told Us Weekly, "For Jamie to say that he and Britney were on ‘good terms’ until August is outrageous."
"August 2019 maybe, but not August 2020," the insider clarified.
And a lot of their issues, and Britney's anger, has to do with Jamie's treatment of her oldest son.
In September 2019, Britney’s ex-husband Kevin Federline (and the father of Preston and Jayden) was granted a restraining order against Jamie.
A source explained at the time to Us, "Britney had the boys at Jamie’s condo on the evening of August 24. Jamie and Sean Preston got into an argument. Sean Preston felt unsafe and locked himself into a room. Jamie broke into the room and shook Sean Preston."
“Fortunately, Britney did the right thing and took her boys to safety and away from her father. The whole incident was very upsetting to her and her boys. Kevin was and still is furious," the source continued.
The altercation resulted in a shift in their custody agreement from 50-50 to 70-30, with Kevin getting the majority of the time with the boys.
And it sounds like Britney's relationship with her father has been on the rocks ever since.
"[Jamie] is the reason she has far less custodial time with her sons than she did before," the source explained. "The incident with Jamie and Preston changed everything. It was a major blow for Britney. She, Kevin, Preston and Jayden have all seen Jamie differently ever since."
