Carrie Underwood can do it all and she always handles everything so gracefully. But, it looks like the country singer may have met her match. E! News reports that the Underwood is on the mend after breaking her wrist after taking a “hard fall” outside her house, and that she’ll have to cancel some appearances as she recovers!
The singer’s accident took place this past Friday, two days after she dazzled on stage while co-hosting the 2017 CMA Awards. Underwood’s rep released a statement to E! News to give an update on her condition. “On Friday night, Carrie Underwood took a hard fall on some steps outside her home,” the rep said on Underwood’s behalf. "While there were no life-threatening injuries, she was taken to the hospital to be treated. She sustained multiple injuries including a broken wrist and some cuts and abrasions from the fall."
Yikes! Thankfully, her husband Mike Fisher was with Underwood after this scary incident. The rep said that Fisher was “able to make it back into town that night to be with her and she was released from the hospital."
Due to her sudden injuries, Underwood had to cancel her performance at Sunday night’s Country Rising benefit concert. The event was held to raise money for the Country Rising Fund, which will be donating to help with hurricane recovery in Texas, Florida, Puerto Rico and the effected Caribbean Islands, as well as to help support the victims of the Las Vegas shooting.
Underwood took to Twitter on Sunday to give fans another update on her recovery. “Thanks so much for all the well wishes everybody...I'll be alright...might just take some time..." she wrote. "Glad I've got the best hubby in the world to take care of me."
