6 Celebs You Forgot Filed For Bankruptcy

"With great power comes great responsibility" is definitely not the motto these celebs followed. Bankruptcy happens all the time in Hollywood, and many celebs get too caught up living in the lavish lifestyle that ends up sucking their money away. Thankfully, many of these celebs were able to bounce back from their bankruptcy.

Janice Dickinson, the world's first supermodel, fell into some hard times in her career. In 2003, she filed for bankruptcy after falling $1 million in debt.

In 2003, boxing champ Mike Tyson had filed for bankruptcy, even though his 20-year career earned him a whopping $400 million! He was left with $23 million in debt, including his divorce settlement, money owed to the IRS, and money owed to the British tax authorities.

Rapper 50 Cent also had to file for bankruptcy. The musician, who was once worth $145 million, filed for bankruptcy in 2015.

"Singin' In The Rain" actress Debbie Reynolds fell into $3 million in debt by her ex-husband, causing her to file for bankruptcy in 1997.

Singer Toni Braxton also fell into financial crisis during her career. She filed for bankruptcy not once, but twice!

Everyone's favorite 80's pop star, Cyndi Lauper, had to file for bankruptcy when her career started in 1981, while being the singer and songwriter for her former band, Blue Angel. Things definitely turned for the best when she went solo and released her chart topping album, "She's So Unusual," since she's now currently worth $33 million!
