Chris Pine Looks Unrecognizable Now—It’s Scary!

We thought Zac Efron’s rugged new look for his upcoming movie, Gold, would be the biggest celebrity transformation of the month, or even year; but it seems like we were wrong, as Chris Pine’s shocking appearance has made our jaws drop to the floor! We had to do a triple take when we saw the pics!

The 41-year-old Star Trek actor was spotted in Los Angeles on February 10th looking a million miles from his usual prim and well-groomed self. He was sporting an extremely overgrown and unkempt grey and white beard, and shoulder-length hair, which was so long it had to be styled in a half ponytail that we think Ariana Grande would have been very proud of back in her high pony days! The Outlaw King star was wearing a white tank top, a gold necklace, and oversized black sunglasses, and overall, looked completely unrecognizable!

Pine’s shocking new look most likely has something to do with his new mystery-comedy movie, Poolman, in which, according to Deadline, he will be playing the part of a “hapless dreamer and would-be philosopher who spends his days looking after the pool of the Tahitian Tiki apartment block in sunny Los Angeles.”

The Wonder Woman actor will also reportedly be making his directorial debut in the movie, which is also set to star Annette Bening and Danny DeVito. From the brief synopsis above, it does seem like Pine has the character’s appearance nailed. We can’t wait to see him in action, although we do hope that he will return to his traditional clean-shaven appearance once filming is over. Who’s with us?
