We all love coffee. It’s the only part of our mornings that we’re actually looking forward to. It gives us just enough energy to make it through the day and function until it’s time to go home. Most coffee drinkers already know the benefits of coffee, but aren’t aware of how their morning cup of joe is affecting their weight loss progress. Some of the things we add to our coffee are actually high in sugar and fat, making it extremely hard to lose weight. Click through our slideshow to see the things you’re adding to your coffee that’s slowing your weight loss.

Sugar

Sugar

This is one’s a no-brainer. Sugar isn’t the best for us, especially if we’re trying to lose weight.

Half-and-Half

Half-and-Half

If you don’t take your coffee black, you definitely shouldn’t take it with half-and-half. It’s loaded with unhealthy fats and calories. If you can’t part ways with your half-and-half, opt for a fat-free version.

Flavored Creamer

Flavored Creamer

Just like half-and-half, using a flavored creamer is bad for your weight loss because it’s high in fat and sugar.

Flavor shots

Flavor Shots

These may make your coffee taste amazing, but they’re making you consume so much more sugar than you need.

Sugar

Sugar Packets

These may seem like a healthy option, but the labels are just trying to trick you. Try a natural sweetener instead.

Whipped Cream

Whipped Cream

Whipped cream is definitely not helping with your weight loss. It’s a yummy way to pile on tons of fat, sugar, and calories.
