What better way to get a healthy serving of fruits and veggies than by blending them together in a smoothie, right? Here’s a detox smoothie recipe that will help kick-start your metabolism and help you feel better:
-1 1/2 cups water
-1 chopped head of romaine lettuce
-3/4 of a handful of spinach
-3-4 stalks of celery
-1/3 bunch each of organic cilantro and parsley
-Fresh-squeezed lemon juice
1. In a blender, mix 1 1/2 cups water with 1 chopped head of romaine lettuce and 3/4 of a handful of spinach. Add 1 pear, 1 apple (core both first), and 3-4 stalks of celery.
2. After it's smooth, add 1/3 bunch each of organic cilantro and parsley (optional). Lastly, toss in 1 banana and fresh-squeezed lemon juice (use 1/2 lemon).
