Ellen DeGeneres & Portia de Rossi Are Photographed Walking Around London
Earlier this week, the couple of 16 years stepped out for a nice walk in London, England, which was one of the first times they've been out and about in public for photographers and fans to see since their move to the UK in 2024. They sold their beloved California home and bought a large farmhouse in the Cotswolds, which is a countryside region of England, where they got a taste of proper farm life with acres of land to care for and animals like chickens.
While both of them would post the occasional update on Instagram, Ellen and Portia haven't been out in public that often, aside from an occasional interview or local show in the UK. However, this week, they went for a nice outing in London, where photographers got to get some high-quality pictures of them in their new English fashions. They were both wearing stylish outfits and even new hairstyles to go with them.
Ellen was dressed in a navy cardigan with a collared shirt underneath, which she paired with white pants and some aviator sunglasses. The Arrested Development actress wore a sleek striped blazer, with pale khaki trousers and a white halter top. She carried around a matching camel-colored bag and also sported some coordinating sunglasses. Ellen was showing off her new short, brunette locks, and it looks like Portia's been growing her blonde hair out a bit, and had it styled in a side-part. Ellen & Portia Recently Listed Their Renovated English Cotswolds Home For $30M
When the couple first moved to England, they purchased a large farmhouse surrounded by land in the Cotswolds for around $20M. Not long after, they decided to dive into some extensive renovations, where they added extra amenities, like a pool, gym, and more.
For a while, the two of them were leaning into farm life, with the 67-year-old television personality posting occasional pictures and videos of herself taking care of their land, feeding their pet chickens, and attempting to drive massive lawn mowers. While everything seemed to be going perfectly, the comedian recently gave a statement to The Wall Street Journal that they were moving again, telling them, "When we decided to live here full time, we knew that Portia couldn't live without her horses."
"We needed a home that had a horse facility and pastures for them," she continued.
There were also some whispers that the couple had allegedly clashed with some neighbors during their renovations, as there were concerns that the construction would interfere with some historic remains near their property, although it seems that blew over, and now, they're trying to sell their renovated home for around $30M. Once internet users got a glimpse of Ellen and Portia's London stroll on platforms like Instagram, they had a lot to say about their transformation and English lifestyle.
"They look great," wrote a user. "For those who don't know, there is life outside of America."
"Looking great," added a fan, as another commented that "they look really happy."
"Looking great and happy!" added another.
We'll be curious to see where the long-term couple ends up after leaving their fixed-up farmhouse, but for now, they seem to be happily enjoying their English life.
