How To Get Foundation Makeup Off Your Clothing

May 13, 2015 by Justine Schwartz

Any woman who wears foundation has transferred it to her clothing accidentally at one point. It happens to me all the time--if I decide to switch outfits after putting my makeup on, in dressing rooms, if I put my face on someone's shoulder. It's gross--the stain is brownish and obvious. Luckily, there is a sneaky way to get rid of it--all you need is shaving cream!
Step 1: Grab your shaving cream You'll need foam (not gel) shaving cream to get rid of your makeup stain.
Step 2: Apply a dollop of shaving cream to a white cloth or rag. Squirt a small amount of the cream to a white or light colored cloth or rag (NOT dark colored--the color could transfer).
Step 3: Blot not rub the shaving cream on to the stain. Using the white rag, apply the shaving cream to the stain in gentle blotting motions. Do not rub the stain. Completely cover the stain with a thick layer of the cream.
Step 4: Rinse with club soda or water. Using club soda (or regular tap water if you don't have it), completely rinse the shaving cream from the garment.
Step 5: Repeat If there is remaining stain, repeat steps 2-4 again.
Voila! Let the garment dry completely--and the stain should be gone!
