Jelly Roll Shaves His Signature Beard In A New YouTube Vlog
If there's one thing Jelly Roll, whose real name is Jason Bradley DeFord, is going to do, it's be open and transparent with his fanbase as he undergoes big transformations and milestones in his life. His latest makeover is no exception.
Over the weekend, the country artist shared a 15-minute vlog on YouTube to document a few days in his life, filming moments between him, his wife, and his children. He shared footage of his latest home and farmhouse renovations, spoke about how grateful he is for his career and everything he has, himself exercising, and, most notably, he revealed that he decided to shave his beard.
In his vlog, the singer, who has reportedly lost around 200 pounds over the last few years, revealed he kept his beard for a long time to "cover" his double chin, and that he hadn't shaved it in nearly ten years.
"My daughter's gonna see me without a beard for the first time ever," he told the camera before shaving.

After the "Save Me" singer finished shaving, in his video, he holds his camera as he walks into his kitchen to show his family, especially his teenage daughter, Bailee, who had a viral reaction to his new look. The teenager began crying, backing away from her dad, and couldn't help but laugh and tear up at the same time.
"I'm gonna cry, I don't like this," she exclaims. "You look like a turtle! I don't like this. I don't know if I'm laughing or if this is really sad."
Once his vlog was uploaded, fans and media outlets reposted clips from it, and one of Bailee laughing and crying due to her dad's shaved face went especially viral.
"Bailee's reaction is everything," wrote a fan on YouTube. "I'll never forget when my dad shaved his face when I was young, and I couldn't even look at him!"
"I'm crying," added another. "So proud of you!"
