Fans React To Jennifer Aniston’s ‘Awkward’ And ‘Uncomfortable’ ‘Vanity Fair’ Shoot As She Goes Pantsless In A Bodysuit

Jennifer Aniston graces the September issue of Vanity Fair and isn’t afraid to take bold fashion risks.
In one striking shot, the Friends alum stuns in a white Balenciaga halter bodysuit that highlights her famously toned legs, paired with a dramatic floor-length skirt trailing elegantly behind her. She completed the look with Van Cleef & Arpels jewelry and wore her signature hair in a sleek side part while posing gracefully in a lush garden setting.
Another standout ensemble featured Aniston in an olive-green lace skirt set. The LolaVie mogul paired a green top with a darker lace mini skirt, finishing the look with beige pumps as she playfully posed with her hands in a flowerpot.
However, not all fans were impressed with the shoot. Many criticized her outfit choices, poses, and the overall concept, with some even claiming she looked almost unrecognizable. A few speculated that cosmetic enhancements—something she’s been accused of in the past—may have contributed to the change in her appearance.
“Sorry, but these poses in the garden look ridiculous,” said one fan. A second wrote, “The fillers in the face are not looking good. Too bad she was naturally beautiful. This photoshoot looks uncomfortable for her.” A third commented, “She looks uncomfortable whilst repotting her plants—not quite dressed for it.” A fifth said, “Why so fake? No one is gardening all done up like that. Let’s make it natural and real again.” A sixth said, “She usually looks so good in photoshoots. Not this one. She looks uncomfortable, and the clothes look stupid. Total miss on this one!” One fan said, “She is lovely, and her outfits are stunning, but perhaps seated or standing in a similar garden/natural background would be less awkward.”
Although Aniston showcased lavish designer looks in the photoshoot, her off-camera style is much more low-key. In fact, she skips the Met Gala altogether, admitting the event feels overwhelming. The actress revealed in a Sept. 2 interview with Glamour that the high-profile fashion affair simply doesn’t appeal to her.
Jennifer Aniston Says She Avoids the Met Gala“Yes, I have [been invited], but I don’t go,” she told the magazine. “It overwhelms me.”
“It’s the getting ready, the putting on the dress,” she revealed. “I’m a ‘jeans and flip-flops and tank top’ kind of girl. I love dressing up too, but for me it’s a mental game of…’ Let’s get dressed up, put on a fancy dress and makeup, get your hair all ‘purdy,’ and go sit in a big room with your peers.’ [And yes,] everyone’s there to celebrate each other and have some fun, but I get nervous.”
It’s not just the Met steps; it’s the red carpet experience as a whole for her.
“Some people find it like a sport where they build you up, and then they love to tear you down,” Aniston said. “What’s the reason why people do it? Who knows? But I just try as best I can [to tune it out] because it doesn’t do you any good.”
