Who could for get Kim Kardashian’s iconic Saturday Night Live monologue? The reality star and style icon got so much press—and so many laughs!—for the killer jokes Michelle Wolf and Amy Schumer helped her write. However, according to the latest episode of Hulu’s The Kardashians, Kim’s ex Kanye West wasn’t very happy with the whole thing. In fact, he walked out in the middle of her monologue, and his reasoning is pretty surprising.

While anyone who watched “SNL” that night may think it was a particular joke that set Kanye off (namely the one where she said she divorced him because of his personality) it was actually the logistics of her wording that really peeved the musician.

That’s right: Kanye was nit-picking Kim’s terminology about their relationship. “He wished I said the word ‘filed’ for divorce,” Kim told Khloe Kardashian in the latest “Kardashians” episode.  Well, we commend his strong attention to detail!

But it wasn’t just that wording that upset Kanye. “He was upset that I also said he was a rapper,” Kim went on. “He said, ‘I’m so much more than a rapper, I can’t believe you said ‘rapper.'”

The whole situation frustrated Kim, which became clear as she vented to her sister about it all. Kim emphasized the fact that she withstood plenty of situations she would have rather not been in for her ex husband, including “speeches and things that have not been the most comfortable for me.”

Her sister Khloe validated her feelings, noting that Kanye took “strong public stances… in many different areas that may not be your stance, but you were his wife, and that’s what you do.”

Both sisters agreed that a double standard was clear. “How is that fair for you?” Khloe said.

But Kim planned to stand her ground when Kanye would confront her about the situation, noting that the artist typically gets “exactly what he wants,” but not this time. “It’s not gonna happen here,” she said. Good on you, Kim!

Kim also made it clear in a confessional that she sincerely never meant to upset Kanye. The intention of her entire monologue was simply to laugh at herself and joke about her own life, just as all comedians do. "It's all fun and games," she explained. But clearly, Kanye wasn't laughing.

This whole situation gets really interesting when you remember the fact that Kim is now dating 'SNL' star Pete Davidson. We're eager to see how everything really went down between the love triangle on the coming episodes of The Kardashians, which hit Hulu every Thursday.
