Rumors Began Spreading That Kelly Clarkson Was Ready To Leave Her 'Grueling' Talk Show
Although she's been a famous celebrity since winning the first season of American Idol back in 2002, Kelly's career truly took a different turn in 2019 when she began hosting her own daytime talk show, The Kelly Clarkson Show, which has had a successful six seasons and even won 22 Daytime Emmy awards.
The singer is a very popular presence on the show, as she's had hilarious viral interview moments, paid tribute to both other celebrities and everyday people, and caused a lot of buzz with her 'Kellyoke' segments, where she performs stunning covers of other people's songs she's enjoying. 'Kellyoke' is an especially popular moment in the show, as many internet users have joked that she tends to sing other artists' songs better than they can.
However, over the last few months, as she's periodically been absent from her show, new reports have come out that hosting the show, which requires a lengthy rehearsal and filming process, has taken a toll on the singer, with insiders stating it's a "grueling" process for her.
A lot of this has made more sense to fans, recently learning that she was trying to juggle it while her ex-husband and father of her children, Brandon Blackstock, was ill and recently passed away from cancer.
New Reports Claim Kelly Is 'Shifting' Her Priorities Back To Her Music Career
After rumors began circulating that the mom-of-two was getting ready to leave her famous show, which attracts thousands upon thousands of viewers, a new insider came forward and told Globe Magazine that she was fairly "certain" she was ready to focus on her music career rather than her talk show, even though she recently agreed to a new season, which is set to premiere later this month.
"Kelly's future is a little more certain than it looks from the outside," claimed the source, who also noted that "her enthusiasm for the show has been waning for a while now."
"Being a talk show host was never her passion," they added. While the seventh season of The Kelly Clarkson Show is due to come back on Monday, September 29th, which the show enthusiastically posted about on social media, the insider alleged that the 43-year-old mostly agreed to going back on air to sustain herself.
"She's going to do another season [because] her deal on that show is highly favorable and there's nothing wrong with making money," they claimed.
Instead of focusing on the show, it looks like Kelly wants to return to what first made her famous - singing and making music.
"Kelly's priorities are continuing to shift back toward music," stated the insider. "Music is the thing that keeps her going, and it's the thing that makes her the happiest."
Although Kelly has yet to come out and explain where she's at with hosting the next season and if she'll be ready to end her days as a television host soon, the new claims have some loyal fans of the show wondering what will come next for the successful series as well as her career.
