With the rise of social media and modern technology, it can be pretty easy to just edit or add filters to your content and then quickly make it “aesthetic” or “Instagram worthy.” In fact, some of our favorite celebrities and influencers do this all the time. Let’s face it: Nothing beats the feeling of knowing that your pictures or videos don’t show any of your physical imperfections. And while there’s a certain beauty to it, the downside is that you don’t really get to show the real you.
However, if there’s one household name who is breaking the status quo, it’s Kim Kardashian.
According to an article published by Cosmopolitan UK, “The SKIMS founder took to Instagram videos to share her morning routine, using products from her new skincare range, SKKN by Kim. She then gave fans a closer look at her skin under the sunshine, telling the camera her face was ‘super [moisturized].'”
In images obtained by Cosmopolitan UK, you can see the reality star’s true skin texture as she goes makeup-free all throughout. The outlet reports, “In the video, you can see Kim’s pores and some hyperpigmentation, both of which are something that pretty much all of us will have or have experienced at some point.”
