Kim Kardashian never misses an opportunity to promote her products, which is why we weren’t shocked to find her wearing a sleek black swimsuit from her Skims Swim collection when she appeared on The Today Show on Tuesday, May 16th.

Kim sat down for an outside interview with ‘Today’ co-host Savannah Guthrie at Rockefeller Plaza in NYC, and although she had a lot of exciting things to talk about, her swimsuit definitely pulled focus!

Kim Kardashian Wears Unzipped Swimsuit On 'Today'

The 42-year-old mom-of-four was on the show to promote the third season of her family's hit Hulu show, The Kardashians, but she killed two birds with one stone by showing off one of her most covetable new pieces from her Skims line too. Momager Kris Jenner will be so proud of the multi-tasking and multi-promoting!

The trainee lawyer poured her iconic curves into a black Skims swimsuit in place of a traditional bodysuit, which featured a super-daring scoop neckline. The interesting thing about the neckline is that it comes with a zip detail that allows the wearer the chance to pull it down to expose more skin or pull it up to maintain a more modest appearance. Pretty clever! Kim chose to forgo the jewelry and wore her signature raven locks in a high ponytail, giving off an effortlessly chic yet understated appearance.

Kim teamed the swimsuit with smart/casual Balenciaga leather-look joggers, which may not go down well with some of her fans. Fans already slammed the Skkn By Kim founder for wearing a piece from the controversial brand in Tokyo last month after seemingly cutting ties with them – as so many other celebs did – in November 2022 following the release of their highly offensive ad campaign which showed children interacting with teddy bears dressed in bondage attire.

After the scandal broke for Balenciaga, Kim took to Twitter to  say that she was re-evaluating her relationship with the brand. She said at the time: "As a mother of four, I have been shaken by the disturbing images. The safety of children must be held with the highest regard and any attempts to normalize child abuse of any kind should have no place in our society — period." She went on to say: "I appreciate Balenciaga’s removal of the campaigns and apology. In speaking with them, I believe they understand the seriousness of the issue and will take the necessary measures for this to never happen again… As for my future with Balenciaga, I am currently re-evaluating my relationship with the brand, basing it off their willingness to accept accountability for something that should have never happened to begin with — and the actions I am expecting to see them take to protect children."

Kim Tells Savannah Guthrie The New 'Kardashians' Season Is The Most Emotional One Yet

Kim really opened up to Savannah about what filming season three of the reality TV show was like, and how hard *that* fight with older sister Kourtney Kardashian was. From the trailer alone, we can see that there was tension between Kim and the 44-year-old Lemme founder, as Kourtney was visibly upset that Kim seemed to have other priorities in Italy, which the family travelled to for Kourtney's wedding to Blink 182 drummer, Travis Barker.

"This season was probably my most emotional and frustrating internally with family that I haven't really seen or experienced before," Kim said, saying that she is also including all previous seasons of Keeping Up with the Kardashians too. Wow, what a bold claim!

"It gets really tricky and emotional," she continued, adding, "We will always be OK, we are always family, but everyone is very vulnerable." She also touched on how open the family is when it comes to sharing their lives in front of the cameras, saying: "When we signed up for this, we wanted to always be super open and honest. There's obviously different seasons where some people feel like they just have some boundaries and want to protect some things and other people really want to open up and share way more."
