King Charles has remained largely passive on the front of his younger brother’s association with Jeffrey Epstein. While he’s fronted the decisions to strip Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor of his royal titles and his eviction from the Royal Lodge, he hasn’t publicly called out his brother, but according to new reports from The Sun, he might not be able to stay quiet on the subject for much longer. The British publication is claiming that Charles personally paid around $2M to help “silence” Virginia Giuffre, one of Epstein’s victims, in 2022. Keep reading for more information.

King Charles Pays Prince Andrew's Accuser

Back in 2022, Virginia Giuffre reached an out-of-court settlement with Prince Andrew in the civil lawsuit she had filed alleging he sexually abused her when she was a minor as part of Jeffrey Epstein’s trafficking network. That settlement was reportedly an expensive one, with many reports estimating a $16M price tag. Where did he get that money from, you may be asking? The Sun is reporting that his relatives may have helped him out.

Last week, sources claimed that Charles, back when he was still Prince of Wales, personally contributed $2M toward Prince Andrew's settlement, which he "used to silence" Giuffre by offering in exchange for her to drop the charges against him.

What's worse, is that the bulk of the remaining balance was reportedly funded by the late Queen Elizabeth. If these claims are true, Charles can't claim ignorance any longer. As daily Beast editor Tom Sykes wrote on his Royalist Substack, Charles being guilty here "makes it clear that he and his office were fully involved in covering up Andrew's behavior."

"Charles' money was deployed to buy Andrew out of a full public reckoning, to shut down a civil case that could have put a senior royal’s alleged sexual abuse of a trafficked teenager under the spotlight in a New York courtroom," Sykes continued. "[Charles] was making a hard political calculation about what is in the interests of the Crown."

King Charles Plans To Work With Police

Last week, King Charles released his first public reaction on the topic of his brother's association with disgraced financier Jeffrey Epstein.

In an official statement released by Buckingham Palace, the King expressed "profound concern" over the continuing allegations involving his brother, including claims that Andrew shared confidential documents with Epstein during his time as the UK's special trade envoy.

Buckingham Palace has stated it would cooperate with authorities if required, with an official statement reading: "The King has made clear, in words and through unprecedented actions, his profound concern at allegations which continue to come to light in respect of Mr. Mountbatten-Windsor's conduct."

The statement continued: "While the specific claims in question are for Mr Mountbatten-Windsor to address, if we are approached by Thames Valley Police we stand ready to support them as you would expect."
