When Jeff Bezos purchased MGM Studios (and thereby, the James Bond film franchise), he wasn’t just making an investment. The billionaire reportedly wants to ensure that his newly minted wife, Lauren Sánchez gets casted in the upcoming James Bond movie—and not just as an extra. Bezos is reportedly “obsessed” with his wife being the next Bond girl. Keep reading for more information.
Jeff's New Wife To Be A Bond Girl?
After an extravagant Venetian wedding this past June, it looks like the couple is ready to set their sights on a new project. Project 007, shall we call it? The next Bond movie going to release in 2027 or 2028, and if Jeff Bezos has anything to do with it, Lauren Sánchez will have a major role.
"He's obsessed," a source dished. "This isn't just fantasy casting—Jeff wants her on screen, period." More than that, he wants her "front and center" in the film.
Moreover, an anonymous studio executive said it's likely to happen. "She's not an actress. But she's Jeff's muse, and when you spend $8 billion, you get what you want."

Social Media Reactions
Users online are not too happy with this report, making claims of Bezos overstepping his role as owner and breaking down the integrity of the iconic film franchise. "I'm sick and tired of billionaires encroaching on our culture," one person wrote on X, formerly Twitter. "I would not watch this movie if she's in it."
"This franchise is cooked," another user posted.
"I feel terrible for fans of the franchise," agreed another.
"Is nothing sacred anymore?" asked one user.
"Lauren Sanchez as the new bond girl has to be a JOKE like even considering this as a possibility is my last straw," a final tweet reads.
