Lindsay Lohan Reveals She Likes To Dump Her Face In Ice-Cold Water
In late May, the Parent Trap icon sat down for an in-depth interview with Elle, and it was one of her first cover stories since becoming a mother to a young son and starting to promote Freakier Friday, the buzzing and highly anticipated sequel to Freaky Friday, her famous 2003 film starring her and Jamie-Lee Curtis. Since she's been back in the spotlight after having her son, the internet has been pointing out how much her face has evolved over the last few years.
Following an extended break to focus on her health and wellness, it was expected that Lindsay would look mature, given that she had started her career as a little girl. However, some people online thought she looked like an entirely different person, leading them to speculate that she had gotten some kind of major cosmetic procedure, like plastic surgery.
However, she denied those allegations and speculation in her cover story interview, crediting more minor treatments like Botox, laser treatments, and serums, instead of something bigger, like a facelift.
"My skin changed after having my son," she admitted. "It got really sensitive. That's what really made me change my whole routine and diet and everything."
She also credited more natural, at-home skincare methods for her new glow, stating, "I'm a big believer in ice-cold water on your face when you wake up." She also credited fresh juices, daily eye patches, and more for her new look.
The Internet Reacts To Lindsay's Skincare Comments On Social Media
When the 39-year-old made her comments about her routine and her lack of plastic surgery, people online still had a hard time believing her, given that she looks so drastically different from the way she did a few years ago, when she slowly started taking on more acting roles.
As her quotes were reposted to social media, internet users began weighing in, commenting on how they didn't believe that ice-cold water facial plunges played a big part in her skincare and youthful appearance. On platforms like Instagram, they left plenty of comments on the matter.
"Was there a surgeon [at] the bottom of the ice water bowl?" asked an Instagram user.
"She looks beautiful; I need the name of her ice water supplier," added another.
"Ice water?" asked a user. "From what, the fountain of youth?"
Some users pointed out the mom-of-one's lack of freckles, which has been one of the most significant changes that has led them to speculate she's doing some kind of extreme treatment. She became famous for her red hair and freckles, and her freckles stuck around even after she spent time dyeing her hair. But now, it looks as though her trademark freckles are hardly there anymore, even in the makeup-free selfies she posts.
"Wow, didn't know iced water would erase her freckles too," commented an Instagram user.
"She looks amazing, but where did all her freckles go?" asked one. "Skin bleaching?"
"This is incredibly dishonest," wrote a user.
We'll be waiting to see if Lindsay ever decides to own up to having plastic surgery or continue to insist that it's all Botox, lasers, skincare products, and ice water. However, the internet seems to be getting more fed up.
