Melania Trump Wears Chic Leather Pencil Skirt While Unveiling New Barbara Bush Stamp
On Thursday, May 8th, the First Lady unveiled a new US postal stamp created in honor of former First Lady Barbara Bush, who was in the White House alongside her husband, George H. W. Bush, from 1989 to 1993. Barbara passed away at 92 years old in 2018 and was the mother of former president George W. Bush and grandmother of television personality Jenna Bush Hager.
She was known for making a lasting impact well after her time as First Lady with her charitable work and her famous Barbara Bush Foundation for Family Literacy.
Reporters and invited guests were seated in the East Wing of the White House as Melania made a speech about Barbara's important actions during her time as First Lady and beyond.
"While she is known for championing literacy, she also supported women's empowerment, changed the national conversation on AIDS, and took a stand supporting gay rights," said Melania, according to People.
"I applaud Mrs. Bush's mark defending our society's vital need for women across all avenues, whether CEO or homemaker."
Mrs. Trump wore a super chic black leather pencil skirt and a simple white top during her appearance. Over her shoulders, she wore a white coat with black buttons that tied the entire outfit together. She wore her blonde highlighted hair down with a sophisticated loose curl and black stiletto heels. She kept her jewelry minimal and sported long, neutral-colored nails.

After the unveiling ceremony was live streamed on social media, and high-quality photos from the event were shared to different platforms, fans and supporters of the mom-of-one applauded her classy look and left numerous comments, many of which stated that she looked "beautiful."
Supporters also admired how the First Lady kept things positive at the honorary ceremony, given all of the political drama surrounding her husband at the moment.
