Miley Cyrus has left us speechless with her cutout Alaïa bathing suit look for the cover of British Vogue, with the magazine itself writing on Instagram, “The summer of 2023 belongs to @BritishVogue’s June 2023 cover star @MileyCyrus.”

And we have to agree — her bathing suit pic, as well as the other black and white stunners in the photo series, serve to show that this is indeed “Miley’s moment.”

Miley Cyrus Spills On Finding Peace And Making The ‘Album Of The Summer’

For one of her British Vogue cover images, Miley donned a slinky black one-piece from Paris-based swimwear brand Alaïa, accessories with a netting-style cover-up and strappy high-heeled sandals. The brand itself shared that the look is all Alaïa, and was curated by creative director Pieter Mulier. Mulier was previously the head creative director for Calvin Klein.

The suit features large cutouts in the rib/waist area showing off some of Miley’s tattoos, with smaller cutouts accentuating the design. The one-piece also highlights a plunging neckline and sculpts her dancer’s figure.

Miley also wore Alaïa for her latest album cover, a stunning shot of her in a black bodysuit hanging from a bar in shades and heels for her eight studio LP, Endless Summer Vacation.

Miley Tells Vogue: ‘I’m Just Evolved’

The multi-outfit photo shoot was all in service of an in-depth article about the “Flowers” singer for British Vogue, her first sit-down interview regarding the new Endless Summer Vacation album. In the candid conversation, Miley discussed growing up in the spotlight, making peace with herself, and finding the true “Miley” beyond the songs and headlines.

“A lot of headlines have said, ‘This is Miley’s moment.’ And I’m like, ‘That’s exactly what it is,'” the singer told the magazine. She also discussed what she prioritizes nowadays: “I make choices that I’m proud of that protect me…I put my mental and physical health before a paycheck…I freed up space for myself to be with friends and family doing what I love, which is working out, eating well, learning ways about how to enhance my life, staying dedicated to practices and protocols that are specifically designed for me.”

The former Hannah Montana actress is happy to be having one of the most massively successful years of her career — her new album’s first single, “Flowers”, spent eight weeks straight at the top of the Billboard “Hot 100” after its release, and is still on the chart after eighteen weeks. That makes “Flowers” her biggest single to date, even beating “Wrecking Ball”, which topped the “Hot 100” for three weeks in a row.

Miley is at peace with her life and career as a 30-year-old musician: "After the last [headline arena] show I did [in 2014], I kind of looked at it as more of a question. And I can’t. Not only ‘can’t’, because can’t is your capability, but my desire. Do I want to live my life for anyone else’s pleasure or fulfilment other than my own? And, you know what…"

The "We Can't Stop" singer left the question to hang in the air, an open ending to a promising moment in a career that keeps on reinventing itself, one song (and look) at a time.
