This is big: Nordstrom now has 100 brands in-store and online with extended sizing–meaning more zeros, XXLs and 18–than ever before, the brand announced.
After launching the extended sizing initiative for holiday of last year, the retailer upped the ante for spring by asking more brands to “fill the gaps in sizing and expand their size ranges,” for the new season, according to a release.
And the results are amazing: brands like Nike, Paige, MOTHER answered the call and added more size options to their lines, giving customers on both ends of the size spectrum more choice when shopping at the store.
HUGE snaps to Nordstrom for being the kind of retailer that actually celebrates size diversity, rather than relegating bigger sizes to the back of the store or to an obscure and very-limited “plus size” section, which we all know does much more harm than good.
We love this trend in which commerce giants and designers embrace and even celebrate inclusive sizing initiatives. This is definitely a big step in the right direction!
Here’s what’s to expect from Nordstrom’s new extended sizing offering for spring:

Paige, Frame and MOTHER added size 34
Rebecca Taylor, Theory and ALC added sizes 14 and 16
