North West is getting ready to drop her debut album The Elementary School Dropout, in collaboration with her father and executive producer, Kanye West. The 12-year-old even teased some of the songs on the track list during her dad’s recent concert in Mexico City. Despite the questionable album title, Kim Kardashian shares that she’s “proud” of the 12-year-old, and is in full support. Keep reading for more information.

North West Is Reportedly Dropping An Album

It's not yet known when The Elementary School Dropout is going to drop, but we do know at least one song that will be featured. In addition to performing at her dad's concert, North has debuted "Piercing on My Hand" on her Instagram and TikTok accounts. "Piercing on my hand, the other holding bands," North raps."No friends, just filter, you wouldn't understand." The song is likely in response to the backlash Kim Kardashian has received for allowing the pre-teen to get multiple dermal piercings on her fingers.

Other lines in the song include "painting a rebellious picture. Went to school for two days, then I got banned / Skipping school, yeah, I do it on the daily," she raps. "Got some new rings, yeah, they’re so crazy." Kim Kardashian has also recently touched on North's homeschool curriculum while on Khloé Kardashian's podcast, which includes "brand-building," "crafts and jewelry," and "fashion courses."

Kim Kardashian Is Proud of 'Elementary School Drop Out'

In the February 2026 digital issue of Complex, Kim Kardashian touched on North West's newest musical ventures during a conversation with editor-in-chief Aria Hughes. "She loves producing music and wanted to share it with the world and isn't afraid if people will like it," the SKIMS founder said of her 12-year-old daughter.

"She's like her dad in that if she likes it, that's enough for her, and she doesn't really care about outside opinions," Kim continued, referencing her estranged ex-husband, Kanye West. "I'm proud of her for that, for releasing music, having fun with it, and doing it her own way."

On an episode of Khloé in Wonder Land, Kim argued that she does set strict rules for her kids, especially North, despite North's attitude."I think like he one misconception that people might have is like, Oh, she's trying to be her bestie and lets her get away with a lot," Kim said. "Like, no, Northy actually has a lot of rules."
