Lactobacillus Acidophilus

Dietitian Swati Kapoor says that the bacteria Lactobacillus acidophilus can be found naturally in yogurt. Such probiotics can also aid in your digestion and metabolism for good gut health. Swati says confirms that probiotics can help you to burn fat and further prevent obesity.

Swati further explains why consuming probiotics, whether in food or supplement form, is essential for your overall health. "Probiotics play an important role in food metabolism and are involved in the absorption of most nutrients in the small intestine and in the processing of undigested food in the large intestine," Swati says.

Probiotics are especially effective when they're taken on a full stomach or when you're eating. And this still stands true before exercise, since you're not going to exercise on an empty stomach (or at least, you definitely shouldn't). According to Performance Inspired, probiotic supplements can help with both workout recovery and further boost your gut health since both probiotics and exercise help to keep you in good shape.
