Queen Camilla Is Reportedly 'Astounded' That Kate Middleton Would Consider Forgiving Prince Harry
One of the most headline-making incidents in the current royal family's lives that continues to affect them was Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's departure from the UK and their royal duties for a 'normal' life in California. Since then, there have been rumors of major rifts between the prince and his immediate family members, and some of those suspicions were confirmed as he gave bombshell interviews and released his telling memoir, Spare.
However, over the last two years, more insiders and royal authors have claimed that one of the few royal family members left advocating for Harry was his sister-in-law, Kate Middleton, who reportedly wanted to see him and their family "make peace" and was "pushing" for her husband, Prince William, to do the same.
As that happened, Queen Camilla has still allegedly been stewing over Prince Harry, angry and resentful about his situation, especially what he wrote about her in his book. Therefore, a new royal insider is claiming that it's affecting her relationship with Kate.
"Camilla wants nothing to do with Harry," an insider recently told The Globe. "She's revolted by the soft stance Charles is taking at the moment and fully supports William's zero-tolerance, no-forgiveness policy. She's astounded that Kate continues to stick up for him. But Kate couldn't care less what Camilla thinks."
Camilla & Kate Allegedly Had A 'Poisonous Showdown'
According to the inside source, the arguments related to Prince Harry have been rattling the queen and future queen for quite some time, and it has led to a lot of tension from within Buckingham Palace. The queen reportedly believes that her son-in-law is "dangerous" and believes that if their family reconciles or is back on good terms, it would give him material to write another "horrific tell-all."
"Camilla and Kate had a poisonous showdown at the palace, and Camilla told Kate flat-out that she's being naive and reckless, not to mention disloyal toward her husband by refusing to respect his wishes," the insider claimed. "It got nasty. Kate's been very patient and biting her tongue for much of this year over Camilla's bad attitude toward her, but this Harry situation is making things a hundred times more tense."
We'll be curious to see if either of the two powerful women ever owns up to this tension or confirms it in the future, but for now, it seems that Prince Harry continues to have his family flustered.
