If one thing is for sure, it’s that Sandra Bullock is a fighter. The actress has had her fair share of heartbreak in the past, but she always picks herself up and handles painful situations with grace. Bullock has recently had to endure the loss of her father, John W. Bullock, and her two dogs, Poppy and Ruby, which has left the Ocean’s Eight star in need of a “shoulder to cry on,” according to Closer Weekly.
The outlet revealed that Bullock’s go-to gal pal is no other than Jennifer Aniston! Here’s what we know about their supportive friendship:
“Sandra has been having a really hard time lately and is still grieving. Jen’s doing her best to be there for her,” a source explained. “Jen has been Sandra’s shoulder to cry on during these difficult weeks. They’ve sat up many nights sipping wine and commiserating.”
The source notes that the actresses have gone through similar experiences with loss. Aniston’s mom, Nancy Dow, passed away in 2016, and she lost her beloved dog Norman back in 2011. Not only has this helped the two stars create a strong bond, but the insider says that it’s also helped Aniston give Bullock the push she needs to grieve in a healthy way.
“Sandra’s always been the strong one in her family, but this has knocked her down. There are days she doesn’t want to get out of bed, but she does, because Jen tells her to. Jen really has been there for her,” the insider continued.
We’ve always thought Aniston would make a great friend—in fact, the source says that she’s one of Bullock’s only close female friends. “Sandra’s never really had a close female confidante before, besides her sister. She appreciates having one now,” the source said.
We’re so happy to hear that Bullock has the support she needs during this difficult time and that Aniston has stepped in to help.
