Scarlett Johansson Wows in a Velvet Slip Dress
The mother of two was seen mingling with influencers and guests, posing for photos as she celebrated the exciting new product launch.
Fans online were thrilled to catch a rare glimpse of the actress, who doesn’t have an official Instagram, and quickly took to social media to share their reactions to her appearance.
“Scarlett is gorgeous,” said one user. A second wrote, “Scarlett looked stunning as always.” A third commented, The beautiful human being that you are.”
Johansson’s skincare brand may be booming, but her once-unmatched box office reign has recently shifted. She previously held the title of the world’s highest-paid actress, topping Forbes’ list in 2019 with $56M thanks largely to her Marvel roles. She also made history as the highest-grossing female lead actor of all time, propelled by major films like Jurassic World: Rebirth.
Colin Jost Reacts to Scarlett Johansson Being Dethroned as the Highest-Grossing Female Actor
In mid-2025, the 41-year-old reached another milestone when she surpassed even Samuel L. Jackson to become the highest-grossing female lead actor ever. However, her record-setting status didn’t last long. She has since been overtaken by Zoe Saldaña, who now holds the title of the highest-grossing movie star overall. Saldaña’s historic achievement was fueled primarily by the massive box office success of her latest blockbuster, Avatar: Fire and Ash.
Now, Scarlett's husband and SNL host Colin Jost has chimed in on his wife being dethroned from her top spot.
On the January 17th episode of Saturday Night Live, Weekend Update, he joked, “Zoe Saldaña, who stars in the new Avatar movie, has surpassed Scarlett Johansson to become the highest-grossing actress of all time. Okay, well let’s see what happens when you include the box office from Scarlett’s husband’s movies.”
The screen displayed a graph showing Saldaña’s earnings at $15.5B and Johansson’s at $15.4B—then Johansson’s figure suddenly dropped to $15.1B. The comedian couldn’t contain himself, bursting into laughter and exclaiming, “It went down?!”
Jost has acted in films such as Tom & Jerry (2021), playing Ben, and How to Be Single (2016) as Paul, and is also recognized for his writing contributions to SNL.
Colin and Johansson’s relationship often becomes a topic for comedy on SNL, especially during the annual Weekend Update Christmas joke exchanges with Michael Che. In these segments, Jost is regularly caught off guard, reading jokes about his wife that are often personal or provocative and that he hasn’t seen beforehand. The Black Widow actress has made several appearances on the show to “get back” at the duo.
