We all know the importance of a charged cell phone. Our phones are used for every part of life nowadays, from staying in touch with friends and family to getting from place to place, and from staying on top of work to managing household chores. There’s very little we don’t rely on our smart phones for.

So when your battery is constantly low, there is a major problem.

Most people have realized that the older a phone is, the shorter its battery's life span is. And when you're using your phone all the time, it makes sense that the battery would drain quickly. But there might be something else you're doing by accident that can make your battery drain faster than it should.

With sensitive touch screens, it is pretty common that apps are turned on or settings are activated when you put your phone into your bag or pocket. It happens more frequently than you would think.

Many of us are actually unknowingly activating our phones' cameras without even realizing it. When the camera is on, even if the phone is just in your pocket, more battery life is being used.

Next time you toss your phone in your bag or pocket, double check that you haven't pressed any buttons as you put it away. You are more likely to accidently turn the camera on when putting the phone in your pocket because of the way you hold the phone for this.
