See How Much Taylor Swift’s Face Has Changed Over The Years

December 30, 2016 by Sara Alderman

Remember when Taylor Swift was singing about the teardrops on her guitar? It's hard to believe that was 10 years ago. Her look has gone through many changes, from straight outta Nashville to All-American sweetheart and an edgy pop star.

Put on your favorite T.Swift album (1989, duh) and join us as we take a look at her transformation through the years--->

2006

Aw, how cute is a young Taylor? This photo is from the 41st Annual Academy of Country Music Awards in 2006. She has her unruly curly hair, which was very endearing for the breakout country star.

2007

She started experimenting with a smoky eye in 2007 and also tightened those curls with a curling iron. There was likely a PR team behind that second move to transition to a more polished, sophisticated look that you'll see in the next few slides.

2009

The classic Taylor Swift red lip was born in 2009. Like we said, a move towards a more grown-up look. She also started experimenting with updos that year, like this one she wore at the MTV VMAs (this is THE one with Kanye!).

2012

Looking even more polished in 2012 with straight hair pulled back and blunt bangs. She also started trying out soft makeup during this time when she wasn't wearing all red everything (the name of her album that year).

2014

To get ready for her transition-to-pop album in 2014, Taylor cuts her hair into a lob and starts wearing crop tops.

2015

2015: The year of Taylor Swift's squad. Her look stays pretty much the same as the previous year. Lob haircut, sexy crop tops and cutout clothing, you get the idea.

2016

2016 Taylor Swift is edgy! In May, she dyed her hair platinum blonde for her hosting duties of the Met Gala, which had a man vs. machine theme. She looked like a totally different person!

2016

By the end of 2016, though, Taylor's hair was back to it's usual blonde color. Is it just us, or is her hair getting shorter and shorter? Will she debut a pixie cut in 2017?! We'll just have to wait and see!
