That's right, just by investing in a few supplements you can help prevent your skin from suffering through annoying problems like acne, redness and wrinkles. "I am a big fan of dietary supplements," dermatologist Leslie Baumann, M.D., told Dermatologist Times. "They're not harmful and many of them may be helpful ... I often recommend them to my patients." Check out the following supplements to take care of all your skincare needs for good!

One supplement Dr. Baumann recommends is Omega-3 fatty acids. if the patient has a lot of redness and inflammation in their skin, I'll put them on omega 3 fatty acids," she said. This supplement contains fish oil, which is known to help replenish skin with fats and helps it maintain smoothness and elasticity.

Dr. Baumann also recommends taking XenaCare, aka SunPill, to treat any redness or problems caused by excess sun exposure. "If they get a lot of sun exposure, I'll put them on the SunPill (XenaCare) that contains a fern extract and antioxidants," she said. All those antioxidants and nutrients will help clear your skin in no time!

Vitamin C supplements are also great for improving wrinkles and skin firmness. This vitamin helps increase collagen production, which assists in the repair and rejuvenation of your skin cells.
