Taylor Swift Arrives To The Kansas City Chiefs Game Using A Privacy & Safety Shield
Since beginning to show off her relationship with Kansas City Chiefs star player Travis Kelce, the Eras Tour performer has been making frequent appearances at various NFL games, sporting her KCC merch, bringing along special guests, and cheering on her now fiancé from the stands. She's made appearances at the Super Bowl and has even traveled to different states to watch Travis compete in other stadiums.
Although she made her first game appearance of the 2025 season with her diamond ring on her finger at Sunday's game between the Chiefs and the Philadelphia Eagles on September 14th, Taylor was filmed walking around the stadium, but she wasn't showing off her merch or smiling while walking with friends.
In footage that has since gone viral online, the singer was filmed walking behind a massive, foldable shield that she walked alongside as members of her team pushed it to get her to her seats or private viewing area safely. Although her reps haven't confirmed it, many believe the shield was a bulletproof wall to keep her safe, as others believe she simply wanted a privacy wall.
NFL Fans Call Taylor 'Dramatic' For Walking Behind A Wall On Social Media
Once fans of Taylor's saw videos of her behind the safety or privacy wall, many of them were worried about her and understood her actions, especially after word got around that it was likely bulletproof.
"It is to do with security," posted an X user. "People have no idea the threats this woman receives."
However, other internet users, specifically NFL fans, who already aren't thrilled with the amount of screen time or attention Taylor receives at football games, wanting to separate her from the sport, felt that she was being a "diva" by hiding behind a large wall.
"Why sneak [in] now?" asked an X user. "She always comes in with a bang."
"That's so dramatic," added another.
"She can't be serious," wrote one user. "Like, get over yourself, Taylor."
We'll be curious to see if the billionaire musician ever chooses to acknowledge the shield she used, and if she decides to use it for the rest of the season. But for now, it seems that her fans and other internet users continue to be divided over it.
