Taylor Swift is no stranger to dragging her exes in her songs – and now fans think she is going one step further by dragging them in her new documentary too!

Swifties thought the 36-year-old “Bad Blood” singer subtly shaded ex Joe Alwyn – who she dated for around six years before they split in April 2023 – in her Taylor Swift: The End of an Era documentary, with a clip of one very interesting comment understandably going viral on social media!

Taylor Swift Seemingly Shades Her Exes In 'End Of An Era' Clip

In the now viral clip – check it out here – the "Lavender Haze" singer can be heard gushing over fiancé Travis Kelce, and saying: "Travis is just very comfortable with conceptually speaking a big life because he HAS one."

Alwyn is best known for acting in films like The Favorite and Conversations with Friends. Swifties also know him for cowriting several of her songs under the pseudonym William Bowery, and even winning a Grammy for his work on Folklore.

Still, many fans have argued that his career doesn't quite match the scale of Kelce's, and is certainly nowhere near the scale of the "Anti-Hero" singer's.

Fan Comments

"Oh the shade," one fan quipped on X, as a second concurred: "Oh tayshade." A third fan joked: "Ended the jobless one so bad lmao." "Jobless Alwyn found employed… At the local McDonalds," commented a fourth, as a fifth added: "The shade towards Travis' predecessor's predecessor."

"In short, unlike Joe's flop life and career," echoed a sixth, while a seventh wrote: "She buried him with one sentence."

Others pointed out that Swift seemed to be openly acknowledging how the Kansas City Chiefs tight-end understands her level of fame and success more than her previous partners…

"Yeah I picked up her saying, first guy I dated on my level," thought an eighth. "She's like 'someone finally gets it, instead of making me feel bad for it,'" observed a ninth, as a tenth chimed in: "Yes. He works for a billion-dollar organization, performs for an audience of millions on a weekly basis, he understands the thrills and pressures of the lifestyle. He also lives out loud, not caring what outsiders think."

On another clip of Kelce applauding his fiancée, an eleventh fan wrote: "Joe Alwyn you could never!"
