Eating right and exercising regularly are the best ways to jumpstart fat loss. But, finding the right healthy foods to incorporate into your diet can be hard if you don’t know where to start. This is especially true when it comes to snacking. Most healthy snacks involve fruit and vegetables, which can be kind of boring sometimes, but thankfully there’s a snack that makes eating these nutritious foods fun and easy–it’s a smoothie!

“When containing the right ingredients, a smoothie can make an excellent and healthy snack,” Regina Fazzini, a New York-based nutritionist, tells SheFinds. “If fat loss if your goal, then you should use fat-burning foods like berries, avocados, dark leafy greens and healthy sources of protein like whey protein–these are just some of the foods you can add to your smoothies; the possibilities are endless!”

Metabolism Boosting Morning Green Smoothie 

 

Ingredients: 

 

3 ice cubes
1 cup green tea
2, 5.5 ounce containers (11 ounce) nonfat Greek Yogurt
2 cups stemmed and chopped spinach (or kale)
1 medium Granny Smith apple—unpeeled, cored, and chopped
½ cup 100% juice, (like 100% pomegranate juice) OR ¾ cup frozen pineapple tidbits
¼ avocado, chopped
¼ cup frozen pineapple tidbits
½-inch fresh ginger, peeled (optional)

Spirulina Smoothie 

 

Ingredients: 

 

1 banana
1/2 cup coconut water
1/2 cup almond milk
1 scoop vegan vanilla protein powder (optional)
1 tsp spirulina

Matcha-Berry Metabolism Smoothie 

 

Ingredients: 

 

1 cup of unsweetened cashew or almond milk 
1 tsp. organic matcha powder
1 tbsp. organic MCT oil or coconut oil
1 tbsp. of cashew/almond butter
1 tbsp. hemp seeds or powder
1 scoop Amazing Grass Green Superfood Powder
1 cup frozen organic wild blueberries or mixed berries
5 drops Omica liquid vanilla stevia (optional)
1/2 banana (optional, for extra creaminess)
Handful of ice cubes

The Carb Cutter 

 

Ingredients: 

 

¾ cup frozen berries
½ cup frozen spinach
1 tablespoon chia seeds
Dash of cinnamon
Dash of turmeric
1 cup unsweetened almond milk
1 scoop vanilla plant-based protein powder
