Kiselstein says, "The worst mistake you can make when trying to lose weight is focusing all of your attention on exercising, and not enough on what you're eating."

Although a regular exercise routine is certainly part of an effective weight loss plan, exercise alone will not guarantee weight loss. He explains, "More often than not, people assume exercise holds the key to weight loss when it is quite the opposite. Nutrition is the most important aspect to losing weight."

 

With that in mind, instead of spending all of your free time at the gym, your weight loss effort would be better spent by developing a healthy diet and exercise plan you can incorporate into your daily life.

If you are struggling with weight loss, it may be because you are putting too much emphasis on exercise and not enough thought into diet. He explains, "Typically, they don't put enough emphasis on the diet and overestimate how many calories they've actually burned during their workout."
