Prince Harry's 'Bike Ride' Comments Called Out On TikTok
"This is so sad," one user commented on a now-deleted TikTok video from @the.royal.watcher, which was posted June 28th, adding, "We've watched him grow up being so precious and now he's so full of bitterness." Another referenced his relationship with the media, saying, "He probably doesn't believe those old pictures and think the media photoshopped them."
Others simply couldn't understand why he made those comments due to the fact that he must have known that footage could very easily have been dug up to prove that he was "lying." "Oh zip it Harry proof is in the pictures," wrote one user. "When he [tried] to lie and forgot there's evidence," said another. "Doesn't he realize he grew up in a fishbowl?" asked another, adding, "There are pics of him camping, skiing, polo matches and more all with Charles." "It's almost as if he forgets we have footage of him," stated another, while another blamed the comment on Meghan Markle, saying, "Honestly, it's stuff Meghan tells Harry to say on television."
Another TikTok video analyzing the bike ride comment was posted onto the social media platform by user @britishroyalnews9 on July 12th – and it also had its fair share of comments from people who aren't Prince Harry's biggest fans. "Wouldn't know the truth if it slapped him on the face," one user commented. "Traitors to the country traitors to the monarchy – lying bitter grifters," wrote another, as another joked that he "has a very short memory," followed by the crying laughing emoji.
"Did they not think for one minute that these lies will catch up with them?" asked another inquisitive user, while another thought, "He must know it's going to get found out." Another agreed, adding: "Those of us that have seen him grow up through RF photos knew that was false."
Other users seemed to defend the father-of-two, as they thought that he could have been referring to private bike rides with the family without being followed by photographers and then having the pictures published in the media.
"Maybe he's talking about a bike ride without paparazzi following them?" asked one user in the comments section to the first TikTok video. "This just proves his point. There were photos taken wherever they went. He didn't have a real childhood," said another, as another added: "At times selective memory comes because of childhood trauma. He grew up photos being taken all the time, the genuine experience might be lost."
Prince Harry's Comments About King Charles Not Hugging Him Were Also Called Out
Prince Harry's other comments about King Charles not being very affectionate with him, which he also brought up during his talk with trauma expert Gabor Maté, also got the same treatment, as @the.royal.watcher posted many pictures of King Charles hugging his youngest son on many occasions. And as expected, the comments section was full to the brim, although there did seem to be more people on Prince Harry's side on this occasion.
"Yes, but did he ever hug him without the cameras?" questioned one user. "These are NOT proper hugs. It's [a] side hug. A real HUG feels good," said another. "Could be that was just for photos and not real genuine care," thought another, as someone else said, "Camera hugs are not the same." "I believe him," wrote another user, adding, "Those aren't real hugs."
Of course, there were countless other comments that called Prince Harry out, with some suggesting that the comment came from the former Suits actress, with one user writing, "She told him to say that," and another saying, "That horrible person he married wrote all the garbage and forced him against the family!"
Many others said that they didn't believe that King Charles didn't love his two sons, with one saying, "I am not a Charles fan at all. But I do believe he loves his boys," and another saying, "Goes to show how much [of] a liar he has become." "Another lie Harry," commented another user, adding that the pictures are "proof." "Think it's called a selective memory," wrote another, adding, "How hurtful is this for the King to have to listen to… that he never hugged his son... such lies."
