Wendy's Releases The New Oreo Brownie Frosty Fusion And More Frosty Products On May 12th
This spring, the popular fast food chain, which has been around since 1969, decided to take its signature dessert, the Frosty, and take it to the next level with two new variations of the tasty ice cream-based product. On April 15th, they rolled out Frosty Swirls. Frosty Swirls allow customers to select their favorite classic Frosty base, like Vanilla or Chocolate, and combine it with a swirl of flavored sauces: strawberry, caramel, and brownie batter.
Then, on May 12th, they decided to kick things up a notch by releasing three flavors of Frosty Fusions, which combine a classic Frosty with a sauce and a mix-in. There's the PopTarts Strawberry Frosty Fusion, the Oreo Brownie Frosty Fusion, and the Caramel Crunch Frosty Fusion. While all three flavors offer a delicious and indulgent fast-food dessert experience, the Oreo Brownie Frosty is now buzzing on the internet.
The Oreo-inspired dessert is made with a classic Chocolate Frosty mixed with Brownie Batter sauce and crunchy pieces of Oreo cookies. It may sound simple, but according to some Wendy's customers, it's one of the best things they've ever made.
Wendy's Customers Give The Oreo Brownie Frosty A '10/10'
After the new flavors of Frosty Fusions were released nationwide on May 12th, it didn't take long for Wendy's customers and food content creators to eagerly give them a try and post about them on social media. It's been a little over a week, and the consensus is very positive so far.
When David Elder, a food content creator known as Elder Eats tried the new Frosty Fusions for one of his videos, he took a particular liking to the Oreo flavor, loving the "big 'ol chunks of Oreos" inside.
"This is the best Frosty they've ever made," said the content creator after taking one bite.
"It's like the ultimate cookies and cream."
Nicole Ludwig, a Las Vegas-based food creator shared the same sentiments after trying the Oreo Brownie Frosty Fusion for one of her videos on Instagram.
"That looks insane," as she showed off the cookie-infused Frosty to her followers.
"I don't know how, but it actually resembles a brownie," said Nicole.
"I love the Oreo pieces [and] there's a ton of mix-ins. This gets a 10/10. This is amazing."
Other Wendy's customers took to platforms like X to share their praise for the brownie-coded sweet treat, writing that it was one of a kind and could easily make their fast food competitors jealous.
"[The] Wendy's new Oreo Frosty is epic," wrote an X user.
"McDonald's could never," added another.
Another X user wrote that the Oreo Brownie Frosty Fusion "might be the best thing they've ever done next to the OG Frosty."
"That Oreo Brownie Frosty [is] a banger," posted another user.
There are rumors circulating that the Frosty Fusions might be limited-time only items on the Wendy's menu, so if you're curious about trying them, you may want to get them as soon as possible. You can go ahead and try each flavor, but just know that the Oreo Brownie is a standout that you won't want to miss out on.
